June 11 (Reuters) - Kinder Morgan ( KMI ) said its El Paso
Natural Gas (EPNG) unit experienced a natural gas release and
fire on a valve at the Parker City meter station in La Paz
County, Arizona on Monday, which caused minor injuries to an
employee.
"One Kinder Morgan employee received first aid for minor
injuries," the company said on Tuesday, adding the station was
isolated and the pipeline depressurized following the incident.
The company said an investigation would be carried out
to determine the cause and quantity of the release and that it
was working with its customers on any impacts.
Kinder Morgan ( KMI ) had said in a filing that the incident had
required the shut in of line 1104 (Havasu Crossover).
EPNG is a 10,140-mile pipeline system transporting natural
gas from the San Juan, Permian and Anadarko basins to
California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and
Northern Mexico, according to the company's website.
