10:26 AM EDT, 10/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GE HealthCare ( GEHC ) said Monday it is taking an industrial role in Thera4Care, a project designed to expand the use of theranostics for cancer patients in Europe.
The 25.3 million euro ($27.8 million) initiative comprises 29 partners from European academic and clinical sites, as well as companies and patient-advocacy groups, the company said.
The project is part of the Innovative Health Initiative, a public-private partnership between the EU and European life science companies, GE HealthCare ( GEHC ) said.
Theranostics is an approach that combines imaging technologies and targeted treatments for cancer patients, the company said.
