Germany set to approve $3.47 billion defence package with Airbus, Bloomberg News reports

Nov 8 (Reuters) - Germany is set to approve defence

equipment purchases worth more than $3.47 billion, including 20

light combat helicopters from Airbus SE, Bloomberg News

reported on Saturday, citing a government document.

The report said lawmakers were expected to approve a major

defence spending package during a closed-door meeting on

Wednesday, which also includes a roughly 1 billion euro deal

with Hensoldt AG and Theon International

for 100,000 night vision devices.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
