Gray Media's Blackout Decision Impacts 226 Channels in 113 Markets to DISH Clients
Mar 11, 2026 2:53 AM

05:38 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EchoStar ( SATS ) said Tuesday that 226 channels in 113 markets are currently not available to DISH Network clients.

The outage comes following Gray Media's ( GTN ) decision to "black out" its local stations from the DISH TV lineup as it demands "retransmission consent" fee increases, the company said, adding that DISH rejected the "unreasonable rate increases."

EchoStar ( SATS ) said DISH intends to restore these blocked channels immediately once Gray Media ( GTN ) comes to terms on "fair, market-based" deal.
