Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.59.
Revenue for the quarter ended May 31 was $416.8 million, down from $474.7 million a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $445.9 million.
The company said it now expects fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS of $7.00 to $7.50, lower than the previous outlook of $8.70 to $9.20. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $8.93.
Revenue for the fiscal year is now expected to be from about $1.89 billion to $1.94 billion, also lower than the prior range of $1.97 billion to $2.03 billion. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $1.99 billion.
Shares of the company fell over 21% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
