01:30 PM EDT, 10/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Wednesday that its global production fell to 298,845 vehicles in September from 373,701 units a year earlier.

The automaker said that year over year, output in Japan rose to 61,707 units from 61,515 units and overseas production slid to 237,138 units from 312,186 units in September.

Sales in Japan increased year over year for the 14th straight month to 67,982 units in September from 54,162 units, while exports from Japan fell to 6,193 units from 7,478 units, the company said.
