Honda Motor to Start Sales of New Commercial Mini-EV Van in Japan

04:25 PM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) said Thursday it will begin sales of a new commercial mini-EV van, called N-VAN e:, on Oct. 10 in Japan.

The N-VAN e: will be offered in four variations, accommodating one to four people, for commercial and personal use, Honda ( HMC ) said.

The N-VAN e: integrates EV-specific features into the gasoline-powered N-VAN and travels 245 km on a single charge, Honda ( HMC ) said. Normal charging takes 4.5 hours and fast charging takes 30 minutes, the company said.

Prices start at 2.44 million yen ($15,538), the company said.

Shares of Honda ( HMC ) rose 0.2% in recent after-hours trading.
