International Petroleum Provides NCIB Update

01:23 PM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- International Petroleum ( IPCFF ) on Thursday said it bought back 66,800 shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stockholm, between October 28 to 31, under the company's normal course issuer bid (NCIB).

The NCIB ends on December 4.

International Petroleum ( IPCFF ) was last seen down $0.18 to $15.62 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Price: 15.62, Change: -0.18, Percent Change: -1.14

According to a latest status report finalised by the power ministry on November 29, 2021, the total overdue of the discoms rose to Rs 93,609 crore in October, from Rs 91,738 crore in September this year. The total overdues of discoms had started tapering off from January this year, when it dipped to Rs 97,334 crore from Rs 99,831 crore in December, 2020. However, it again rose to Rs 97,292 in February this year.

"At present, there is no proposal to transfer ONGC's assets to Oil India," Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameswar Teli said in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier this year written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to consider transferring all assets of ONGC in the northeastern region to Oil India Ltd.
