01:06 PM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A judge for the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on Friday denied a motion by Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) for a summary judgement on the US Justice Department's allegations that the tech giant has monopoly in online advertising technology.

Judge Leonie M. Brinkema also denied Google's ( GOOG ) motions to exclude testimonies from Robin S. Lee, Adoria Lim and Dr. Timothy Simcoe, as well as the DOJ's motions to exclude the opinions of Itamar Simonson and Mark Israel.

The judge did grant the Justice Department's motion to exclude the testimony of Anthony Ferrante and ordered to unseal memorandum opinion explaining the court's decision to grant Google's ( GOOG ) motion to dismiss damages claim by the US as moot and to strike the jury demand.
