07:19 AM EST, 02/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A federal judge has issued an injunction against President Donald Trump's executive order that suspended the US Agency for International Development's funding, multiple outlets reported Friday, citing US District Judge Amir Ali's ruling.
The judge expressed that without this intervention, the "enormous harm" already inflicted would likely escalate, the media outlets reported.
Trump's executive order, enacted on Jan. 30, reportedly halted all congressionally allocated foreign assistance funding pending a review, with Trump intending to eliminate support for organizations he deems misaligned with US interests, the reports said.
The White House did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
