KLA Opens $138 Million R&D, Manufacturing Facility in Wales

08:44 AM EDT, 05/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- KLA (KLAC) said Thursday that it has opened its new $138 million research and development and manufacturing center in Wales, UK.

The 237,000-square-foot Newport facility is designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies in advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems, radio frequency and photonics sector technology, the company said.

The facility can accommodate 750 employees and is expected to support the continued growth of the electronics ecosystem, the company said.
