12:28 PM EDT, 08/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Life Time Group Holdings ( LTH ) said Friday it has filed a patent for "The Ultimate Pickleball," a new ball designed to address common issues like inconsistent speed, bounce and durability in current pickleball.

The Ultimate Pickleball will be unveiled at an event on Aug. 19 at Life Time's PENN 1 in New York, the company said.

The pickleball will be sold at Life Time's racquet sports pro shops and online following its debut, it added.

The company's shares were up nearly 2% in recent trading.
