02:08 PM EDT, 03/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) is in talks to strike a deal for a second and third season of "Beast Games" with the YouTube creator known as MrBeast, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
Amazon's ( AMZN ) profit on the show, which debuted on Amazon Prime Video in December, was at least $100 million, the report said, citing people familiar with the situation. MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, is seeking over $150 million for each new season, according to the people.
Other streaming companies are also looking to woo content creators for new series and Netflix ( NFLX ) held talks in recent months with a sports-focused group of creators called "Dude Perfect" about creating a new series, the report said. One of the people also said that Netflix ( NFLX ) has discussed a new show with YouTuber and former NASA engineer Mark Rober, according to the report.
Comcast's ( CMCSA ) Peacock streaming service is planning to premiere four comedy shows by creators it found via a recently-launched search for digital creator talent, said Josh Feldman, chief marketing officer for NBCUniversal advertising and partnerships, according to the report.
Amazon ( AMZN ), Netflix ( NFLX ) and Comcast ( CMCSA ) didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
