03:25 PM EST, 11/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is exploring the smart glasses market by studying existing products and getting feedback from its employees, Bloomberg News reported late Monday, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

The project, called Atlas, started last week and includes focus groups of its employees led by Apple's ( AAPL ) Product Systems Quality team in the hardware division, the media outlet reported.

Apple ( AAPL ) reportedly sent an email to some employees at its main office, asking them to join a user study with current smart glasses available on the market.

More focus groups are also part of the plans, the report added.

Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
