11:57 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple ( AAPL ) is planning a new model of the Mac mini that is expected to be released later this year, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The new model will be the first major redesign since the mini was revamped in 2010 under Steve Jobs, the report said.

Apple ( AAPL ) declined to comment on the plan, Bloomberg reported.

Apple ( AAPL ) shares rose 1.2% in recent Thursday trading.
