09:12 AM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Apple's ( AAPL ) plan comply with an order to inform music streaming providers such as Spotify Technology ( SPOT ) about payment options outside its App Store is being reviewed by the European Commission, Reuters reported Monday, citing the regulator.

Under Apple's ( AAPL ) proposal released Friday, Spotify ( SPOT ) and other music streaming providers may add a link on their websites to inform customers of other ways away from Apple's ( AAPL ) App Store to buy digital goods or services.

"We are currently assessing whether Apple ( AAPL ) has fully complied with the decision," Reuters quoted a European Commission spokesperson as saying.

Apple ( AAPL ) declined Reuters' request for comment.

Neither Apple ( AAPL ) nor the European Commission immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
