08:49 AM EST, 12/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Baidu ( BIDU ) and Geely said Friday that they are committed to assisting their electric vehicle joint venture Ji Yue Auto in resolving employee disputes over social welfare benefits and severance payments, Reuters reported, citing official posts on Chinese social media.

The statement, posted on the Weibo platform, came a day after images of Ji Yue Auto employees demanding unpaid benefits surfaced, the report said.

Baidu ( BIDU ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
