07:56 AM EDT, 07/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Carrier Global's ( CARR ) India unit has filed a lawsuit against the Indian government over new electronic waste regulations that significantly increase the fees manufacturers must pay to recyclers, Reuters reported Monday, quoting court filings.
The move follows similar legal actions by major electronics companies Samsung, LG, Daikin, and Voltas, which argue the rules impose an unfair financial burden on producers, Reuters added.
The lawsuits are to be heard by the High Court of Delhi Tuesday, Reuters said.
Carrier didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
