07:31 AM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- F5's (FFIV) systems were allegedly breached by state-backed hackers from China, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The cybersecurity firm reported the breach Wednesday in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, alleging that a nation-state threat actor had penetrated its network and stolen files, including parts of the source code of the BIG-IP platform.
F5 and China's embassy in Washington did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
