Market Chatter: Liberty Global Looking to Sell Swiss Telecom Unit's Stake Ahead of Planned Spin-Off

01:01 PM EDT, 07/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Liberty Global ( LBTYA ) is exploring a potential sale of a stake in Swiss telecom subsidiary Sunrise before the planned spin-off of the unit in Q4, Reuters reported Friday, citing three people familiar with the matter.

Discussions have occurred with various investors, including Swiss family offices, the report added, citing two of the people.

JP Morgan (JPM) and UBS (UBS) are leading the search for investors, the people reportedly said. Both banks declined to comment to Reuters.

A spokesperson for Liberty Global ( LBTYA ) also declined to comment on ongoing talks with investors, Reuters reported.

Liberty Global ( LBTYA ), JP Morgan and UBS did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
