06:20 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) , Qualcomm ( QCOM ) and Amazon ( AMZN ) chiefs have been approached by Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Lee to discuss potential collaborations, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a statement from the South Korean technology company.

Lee, who is on a two-week visit to the US, talked with Meta chief Mark Zuckerberg on topics that include artificial intelligence, and virtual and augmented reality, the report said. He also discussed cooperation in semiconductors with Amazon's ( AMZN ) Andy Jassy and Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Cristiano Amon, the report added.

Samsung is set to hold a company-wide strategy meeting around the end of this month, Reuters reported, citing the company.

Samsung, Meta, Qualcomm ( QCOM ), and Amazon ( AMZN ) did not immediately respond to MTNewswires' requests for comment.
