07:55 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft ( MSFT ) is consolidating its retail channels in mainland China, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing the US software giant.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) said its products will still be available in mainland China through retail partners and its own website, the report said.

The company's statement came in response to media reports that it is closing its network of authorized physical retailers in China.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
