Market Chatter: Nvidia May Boost H200 AI Chip Production Due to Strong Demand From China
Mar 10, 2026 10:22 PM

10:17 AM EST, 12/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) has told Chinese customers it may increase production capacity for its H200 AI chips after orders exceeded its output level, Reuters reported Friday, quoting unnamed sources.

The report said that demand for the chip from Chinese clients is so strong that the company is leaning toward adding new production capacity.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) this week received clearance from US President Donald Trump to export H200 chips to China. In a Truth Social post late Monday, Trump said the US will allow Nvidia ( NVDA ) to ship H200 chips to "approved customers" in China and other countries.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
