08:57 AM EST, 02/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is preparing a software update to allow Chinese customers to use driver-assist features on city streets, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
The update, called full self-driving by the company, will allow the company's system to have less human supervision and interventions. The price for the new capabilities will be 64,000 yuan ($8,800), according to the report.
The new software feature applicable for usage on city streets will be introduced on select models and be gradually expanded, the source said in the report.
Tesla did immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
