Mar 13, 2026 1:38 AM

04:19 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) sales of its China-made electric vehicles rose more than 35% year over year in January and February to 127,728 units, up from 93,926 a year earlier, CNBC reported Friday, citing data from the China Passenger Car Association.

The report said the combined sales from Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, which produces the Model 3 and Model Y for China and export markets, ranked second behind BYD despite the Chinese automaker reporting a 36% decline in deliveries during the same period.

Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
