Market Chatter: Trump Poised to Extend April 3 Deadline for Chevron to End Venezuela Operations

11:32 AM EDT, 03/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Trump administration is set to extend the deadline for at least 30 days for Chevron ( CVX ) to end its Venezuela operations, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

US officials have already indicated to Chevron ( CVX ) that it will be granted more time past the April 3 deadline to halt its operations with the state-owned driller Petroleos de Venezuela, the report said.

Chevron ( CVX ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares were edging 0.3% lower in recent trading.
