06:59 AM EDT, 09/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Viavi Solutions ( VIAV ) is considering another bid for telecoms testing group Spirent Communications if rival Keysight Technologies' takeover fails, Reuters reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Some analysts say that investors are concerned over Keysight's ability to get competition approval for the merger, noting that Spirent shares are trading at a discount to Keysight's 2.02 British pounds ($2.68) offer price, the report said.

Viavi lost its takeover bid to Keysight's $1.5 billion offer in March.

None of the three companies immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
