10:21 AM EDT, 06/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vista Energy (VIST) has struck a deal with SLB (SLB) to acquire a new fracking array during the second half of the year to increase production in the Vaca Muerta shale region, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a company statement.
With this addition, Vista will operate two fracking crews and associated equipment, potentially increasing output by 55% to the equivalent of 85,000 barrels per day by Q4, the report said. Vista plans to start production on 138 new oil wells by 2026, aiming to achieve a daily output of 100,000 barrels, according to the report.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, Bloomberg said.
Vista Energy and SLB did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
