10:55 AM EDT, 03/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) said Tuesday its open source artificial intelligence model Llama surpassed 1 billion downloads.

The Facebook parent company first introduced Llama in 2023 and said that Spotify Technology ( SPOT ) , US-based startup Fynopsis, and developer Srimoyee Mukhopadhyay are among those leveraging the model.

Meta's stock was down 4.3% in recent Tuesday trading.
