01:06 PM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Meta Platforms ( META ) rolled out group chats on its Threads app and is also expanding Threads direct messaging features to users in Europe, the company said Wednesday.

Threads users can now send photos, videos, graphics interchange formats and stickers, manage message requests, and start group chats with up to 50 people for now, according to Meta.

The group chat feature lets users name conversations and will soon include the option to invite others via shared links, Meta said.

The company noted it launched messaging on Threads in July and has been gradually expanding functionality based on user feedback.
