Mexican restaurant operator Alsea taps Starbucks France head as next CEO

MEXICO CITY, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Mexican restaurant

operator Alsea on Monday said that its board had

named Christian Gurria, who heads the firm's Starbucks ( SBUX )

operations in France and the Benelux region, as its next chief

executive.

Alsea, which also operates chains such as Domino's Pizza

and Burger King, added in a filing that Gurria would

assume his post on July 1.
