Microsoft Collaborates With Amazon to Bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to Select Fire TV Devices

12:13 PM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft's ( MSFT ) Xbox is teaming up with Amazon.com ( AMZN ) to bring cloud gaming to select Fire TV devices in over 25 countries, starting in July, the companies said Thursday.

The Xbox app will offer access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream a variety of games directly to Fire TV devices, Xbox said, adding that the Xbox app will be accessible in July on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max for $59.99 and the Fire TV Stick 4K for $49.99.

To start, the companies said players just need a Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled controller, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for instant access to hundreds of games.
