03:44 AM EDT, 07/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Moderna ( MRNA ) and Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma said late Monday they have agreed to promote Moderna's ( MRNA ) COVID-19 vaccine Spikevax and other respiratory vaccines in Japan.

Financial details of the agreement, which has an initial term until March 31, 2029, were not disclosed.

Under the deal, Moderna ( MRNA ) will oversee the manufacture, sales and distribution of the vaccines while both companies will promote the jabs to the public.
