Parliament Special Session LIVE: Ruckus in Lok Sabha over technical glitch as proceedings begin

The five-day special session of Parliament has begun on Monday. On Day 1 of the session, the Lok Sabha has listed businesses to hold a discussion on "Parliamentary journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha - achievements, experiences, memories and learnings". The tentative agenda for the proceedings includes discussion on eight bills, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said earlier.

Jaishankar says we need to get over syndrome that 'West is the bad guy'

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday said the West was not the "bad guy" as it was not flooding Asian and African markets with goods on a massive scale and that there was a need to get over the "syndrome" of seeing it in a negative way.

Jaishankar, in an interview with Malayalam news channel Asianet, also made it clear that he was not batting for the West. He was in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the launch of the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
