- Boeing ( BA ) said on Monday that it had agreed to buy a

major supplier, Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ), ending a nearly

two-decade experiment in outsourcing production of major

components of its commercial planes.

to avoid a criminal trial if it agrees to plead guilty to a

fraud charge stemming from two fatal crashes of its 737 Max more

than five years ago.
