Root Swings to Q1 Earnings, Revenue Rises

04:52 AM EDT, 05/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Root (ROOT) reported Q1 earnings Wednesday of $1.07 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.42 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of $0.34.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $349.4 million, up from $254.9 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $318.9 million.

Shares of the insurance technology platform were up nearly 6% in recent premarket activity Thursday.
