RWE steps up local procurement due to US tariffs
May 26, 2025 8:17 AM

FRANKFURT, May 15 (Reuters) - RWE said on

Thursday it had built strategic inventories and was increasingly

sourcing from U.S.-based manufacturers to mitigate the impact of

local import tariffs.

About half of RWE's installed renewable energy capacity is

based in the United States, and the utility said it had taken

early action to soften the blow, including "securing plant

components for ongoing projects".
