Seadrill Joint Venture Gets 2 Contracts in Angola

07:53 AM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Seadrill ( SDRL ) said Monday that its Sonadrill Holding 50/50 joint venture with a Sonangol affiliate received two contracts in Angola.

West Gemini's contract with Sonangol Exploracao and Producao is expected to start in late 2025 or early next year.

The company said Sonangol Libongos' contract with Azule Energy Angola has an estimated firm term of 525 days, plus priced options beyond the initial term. The program is expected to begin offshore Angola in Q3, Seadrill ( SDRL ) said.

The company's shares were up 1.5% in recent premarket activity.
