08:26 AM EST, 11/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sealed Air ( SEE ) reported Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $0.79 per diluted share, up from $0.77 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.67.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $1.35 billion, down from $1.38 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.34 billion.

Sealed Air ( SEE ) said it now expects 2024 adjusted EPS of $3 to $3.10. That compares with its prior guidance of $2.65 to $3.05. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $2.98.

Net sales for the year are now projected to be $5.38 billion to $5.43 billion, the company said. That compares with the company's earlier expectation of between $5.20 billion and $5.60 billion. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $5.39 billion.

Shares of the company were up 2.4% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
