In corporate news, Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) CEO David Ellison may submit an official merger bid for Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) in the coming days, the New York Post's On The Money reported Wednesday. Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) shares added 0.2%, and Warner gained 3.1%.
Stellantis ( STLA ) plans to invest $13 billion in the US over the next four years to expand production and manufacturing. The stock rose 1.9%.
Papa John's (PZZA) shares jumped past 10% after Reuters reported that Apollo Global Management (APO) offered to acquire the company in a take-private deal for $64 a share.
TrueCar ( TRUE ) shares surged 62% after the company agreed to be acquired by Fair Holdings, an entity led by TrueCar ( TRUE ) founder Scott Painter, for $227 million in cash.
