12:58 PM EDT, 04/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Starbucks ( SBUX ) and Workers United, representing Starbucks ( SBUX ) workers in the US, held contract negotiations over a two-day session in Atlanta, Georgia, the union said in a post on X, formerly Twitter, Friday.

"We made significant progress," the union said in the post.

Both parties worked on the "foundational framework that will contribute to single-store contract negotiations and ratification," Reuters reported Friday, citing a joint statement from the company and the union.

Both parties plan to meet again in May, according to Reuters.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) and the union did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for additional comments.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) was up 1% in recent trading.
