08:12 AM EDT, 08/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Stella-Jones ( STLJF ) on Thursday said second-quarter net income and revenue fell slightly.
Net income narrowed to $106 million, or $1.91 per share, from $110 million, or $1.94 per share, but beat the FactSet consensus forecast of $1.77 per share.
Sales fell slightly to $1.03 billion from $1.05 billion due to a 4% drop in pressure-treated wood sales. This was due to lower volumes for railway ties and utility poles and lower utility poles pricing, the company said. Analysts had expected $1.06 billion in sales.
The company will pay a quarterly dividend of $0.31 per share on Sept. 25.
