Stellantis Plans to Increase Jeep Sales 50% to 1.5 Million Units by 2027
Jun 13, 2024 9:00 AM

11:35 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) said Thursday during its investor day that it plans to increase Jeep sales globally to nearly 1.5 million units in 2027 from about 1 million units currently.

According to a presentation posted on its website, the carmaker said it wants to increase Jeep sales to 1.1 million in North America by 2027 from 760,000 now, to 170,000 units in Europe from 149,000, to 160,000 units in South America from 134,000, and to 60,000 in Asia from 10,000.

Jeep's growth plan will be based on offering multi-energy propulsion systems across the brand's lineup and boosting market coverage by returning to the mid-size UV segment in North America and re-entering the small UV segment globally, the company said in the presentation.

Stellantis ( STLA ) also plans to expand Jeep's production "into cost-competitive countries to improve total production cost," the company said.

Nameplate offerings will also rise to 13 by 2027 from 10 , it said.
