11:18 AM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan said Monday deliveries of US-made weapons from RTX (RTX) and Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) have been delayed due to supply chain issues, according to Taiwan's defence ministry.
Defense Minister Wellington Koo said in a media interview that Taiwan currently has 25 major US arms procurement projects, with three facing delays.
The three delayed programs are Lockheed Martin's ( LMT ) F-16V Block 70 fighter jets, and MK-48 heavy torpedoes, and RTX's AGM-154C glide bombs. These delays are mainly due to production line adjustments, supply-chain issues, and system integration challenges. Deliveries have been pushed to 2026 to 2028 and will occur in batches, he added.
"The Ministry of National Defense has accelerated its oversight of contract fulfillment, and the US has established a dedicated project office to jointly handle the matter. Both sides are committed to completing delivery as soon as possible," he said.
RTX and Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comments.
