08:07 AM EDT, 08/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Terran Orbital ( LLAP ) said Friday that it will launch its Pathfinder-R and Pathfinder-4 spacecraft the same day.

The satellite products maker said PTD-R and PTD-4 will be carried into space from Vandenberg Space Force Base via the Transporter-11 Rideshare mission with SpaceX.

The spacecraft are part of a NASA program testing the viability and operational effectiveness of a various low-Earth orbit technologies.

On Thursday, Lockheed Martin ( LMT ) said it has agreed to acquire Terran Orbital ( LLAP ) for an enterprise value of $450 million.
