Oct 2, 2024 11:52 PM

05:20 AM EDT, 09/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to add Ford's response in the last paragraph.)

Ford Motor ( F ) and workers at its River Rouge Complex in Dearborn, Michigan, have reached a tentative labor agreement, the United Auto Workers said Wednesday.

Local 600's Tool & Die Unit reached a deal that includes job security in the face of 3D printing advances and eliminates wage disparities for skilled workers, the union said.

The 500 workers at the plant will vote on the agreement in the coming days.

The union said the deal "will set a new standard" for skilled workers at Ford.

Meanwhile, in a statement sent to MT Newswires, Ford said it was pleased with the tentative agreement involving employees working on gas, hybrid, and electric Ford F-150 vehicles. "Consistent with the ratification process, the UAW will share details with its members," the company said.
