Update: Virtu Financial Shares Jump After Q2 Normalized Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Climb

Virtu Financial ( VIRT ) shares rose 18% in recent Thursday trading after the company reported Q2 normalized adjusted earnings of $0.83 per share, up from $0.37 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.60.

Revenue in the quarter ended June 30 rose to $693 million from $506.9 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $331.57 million.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.24 a share, payable Sept. 15 to shareholders of record Sept. 1.
