Oct 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration
has approved Elanco Animal Health's ( ELAN ) oral drug to
protect dogs against six parasitic infections, the company said
on Monday.
The drug, branded as Credelio Quattro, is a single, monthly
chewable tablet for dogs eight weeks of age or older, the
company said.
The drug is approved for the treatment of flea and tick
infestations, along with roundworm, hookworm and tapeworm
infections. It is also approved to prevent flea infestations and
heartworm disease in dogs.
The company expects to launch the drug in the first quarter
of 2025.
