WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Transportation Secretary
Sean Duffy plans to meet with the CEOs of major airlines on
Wednesday on the government's $12.5 billion plan to overhaul the
nation's aging air traffic control system, sources told Reuters.
Duffy will attend a meeting of Airlines for America, the
trade group representing United Airlines, Delta Air
Lines ( DAL ), American Airlines ( AAL ), Southwest Airlines ( LUV )
and others.
Airlines have been pushing USDOT to take steps to rollback
airline passenger consumer protections advanced during the
administration of Democratic President Joe Biden.
