Verizon Communications Expands Cybersecurity Partnership With Monumental Sports & Entertainment

02:30 PM EDT, 09/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Verizon Communications ( VZ ) said Tuesday its Verizon Business division has expanded a partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment to enhance cyber resiliency and security across sports and entertainment properties of Monumental Sports.

The sports management company owns and operates properties including the NHL team Washington Capitals, the NBA team Washington Wizards, the WNBA team Washington Mystics, and the NGA G League team Capital City Go-Go.

Verizon will provide Monumental Sports & Entertainment with advanced cybersecurity services at the four properties it owns and operates, including incident response, threat intelligence, and cyber risk management.

Verizon shares were down 2% in recent trading.
